We had the extreme good fortune of spending a week in Sally's lovely property in the Sabina, a short distance from Rome. We wanted to visit Rome, but did not want to stay in the hustle and bustle of the city. This lovely apartment was the perfect solution. It is truly a home away from home. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the views from the balcony are breathtaking. It is an easy journey to the train station and 40 minutes later we were in Rome! In the apartment, Sally thought of everything! No detail has been overlooked. It is bright, warm and cozy.

Casa Fagiolina proved to be everything we were looking for - a lovely, well cared for apartment with that attention to detail that makes you feel you are at home rather than a rented holiday flat. Very comfortable, fantastic equipment, stunning balcony with views. Only a short drive to the train station meant an easy journey into Rome to save us trying to park in the city. Also enjoyed some lovely local sites and an amazing day at Tivoli at Hadrian's Villa. Local shops and restaurants and a beautiful relaxing setting in the owner's gardens, with plenty of herbs around to make the most of the local produce and Italian style kitchen. Thanks Sally for a fantastic holiday that ticked every box for us. A rare find and exceptionally good value. We would certainly recommend and return.

We loved EVERYTHING about our stay here! So relaxing to walk out onto the terrace each morning and take in the view and listen to the birds...I recommend all of the trips that we took - to Tivoli water gardens at night (stunning), to Orvieto, Civita/Bagnoregio, the nearby villages fo Fara and Farfa and, of course, Roma! I don't know how we'll be able to beat this with any other holiday rental. Casa Fagiolina is truly a home from home. Thank you.

We chose to stay at Casa Fagiolina because it promised well equipped accommodation in a quiet rural location. It delivered everything that was promised and more. It is, without doubt, the best equipped holiday accommodation that we have ever stayed in - and we have stayed in many.

Sally provided a lot of information about things to do and places to go. It was very easy to travel into Rome by train - and surprisingly cheap. It is a pity that we did not have the chance to meet Sally, but the neighbours and villagers were very welcoming and friendly. One of life's great pleasures must surely be to sit on the balcony with a glass of local wine, watching a fantastic sunset with the heady scent of jasmine in the background. Magical!

Hi Sally,

Just a wee note to thank you so very much for the fantastic week we had at Casa Fagiolina.
Everything was just brilliant. The village, the area, the weather, your lovely neighbour who blew us kisses each day, but most of all the apartment itself!! You have literally thought of everything.
We have had a well needed week of complete relaxation thanks to you and Casa Fagiolina. We cannot thanks you enough and will definately be recommending the apartment to all our friends.

Fondest regards,
Cathy and Stephen,

Casa Fagiolina: the sort of home you see on TV and say "It would be great to stay there." Every morning and every evening, the views are amazing. Sally, your directions are spot-on; your suggested trips are great. A visit to Orvieto is a must. Be sure to be in Cathedral Sayare late afternoon to see the sun's reflections on the facade. The little bakery in nearby Fara Sabina is heaven. The €8 train fare to Rome is great value. Sally, you get ten out of ten.

" We have had another wonderful holiday at Casa Fagiolina and have felt even more at home on this second visit. This is a place to relax and enjoy real Italian living and a slower pace of life. The balcony is fantastic, overlooking the village and with distant mountain views. It's a lovely place to drink your morning coffee, eat lunch and in our case, paint pictures! Sally is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble for her. Her knowledge of Italy is amazing and she speaks fluent Italian, so can help with any little problems that are beyond our very basic Italian. (We damaged a wheel trim on our hire car and Sally came to the garage with us to order a replacement!) We like this place so much that we've booked again for next year and then we are driving up to Lake Como to stay in Sally's other holiday home in Bellagio - can't wait!"

Great place to stay and beauutiful area. Our children enjoyed exploring the little villages and going for walks in the countryside. San Martino wak excellent for view, flowers and butterfiles. Also good walks just north of Salisano in the hills. Villa d'Este also great for children. Gelato was, however, the best part of the holiday!!!

We had a wonderful week at Casa Fagiolina. Sally's warm welcome when we arrived late at night made us feel right at home. Her thoughtful attention to us and to the detail of everything in the apartment were first class.
We found Canneto to be a perfect base for visiting Rome and this beautiful part of Italy, and Casa Fagiolina was such a comfortable home to which to return every day. Our sons loved cooking in the apartment using local ingredients and playing in the garden. It was a pleasure to go to the local church. Follow the instructions in Sally's book and you won't go wrong. Thank you for this place - we will recommend it and are sure to be back.

Spectacular scery all around the area. Very easy access to Rome at a very reasonable day ticket.
We had the pleasure of attending mass in the local church some mornings and evenings.

Great ambience created by Sally and the tranquil surroundings. Very well equipped property in an unspoilt village with friendly locals. One had us holding hands in the main street to demonstrate the girth of the famous ancient olive tree!

This provided us with an ideal base for exploring Rome and beyond. Convenient travel by train with BIRG tickeet. Canneto was also convenient for visiting Hadrian's villa, Ostia Antica, Tivoli, Orvieto, Tarquinia and the many local hill towns.
We hope that this will set us up for the forthoming Scottish winter!
