Enjoy country walks right from the door of Casa Fagiolina

Emma by tree

Canneto's 2000 year old olive tree. Too big to hug!

  • Are you looking for a combination of city and countryside for your holiday?
  • The Sabina is a lesser known part of Italy with hilltop towns and olive groves in abundance (an undiscovered Tuscany).
  • Canneto is an authentic simple village, unspoilt by tourism, where you can immerse yourself in the rhythm of country life.
  • Rome is an inexpensive train ride away.
  • At Casa Fagiolina you can enjoy the best of both worlds : the buzz of the city and the calm of the country.

My home, Casa Fagiolina is a detached property, divided into two apartments.
Your 'home from home' is on the first floor with a spacious living area and terrace. There is a breathtaking view is of Monte Soratte, hilltop Fara Sabina and rolling hills planted with the famous olive groves of the Sabina. I never tire of seeing the changes in the light and the wonderful sunsets.

You have full use of the large garden and any produce that happens to be in season.
I have fruit trees (cherries, figs, plums, persimmon), olives and an abundance of fresh herbs. With both a dining table and barbecue on your terrace you can enjoy your meals and the view at the same time.

The kitchen is superbly equipped for keen chefs and Gianluca at the local shop has a wonderful delicatessen section for your Italian speciality cheeses and cold cuts.

I aim to provide you with a homely and comfortable place for your holiday. There is air conditioning throughout and the balcony has sun canopies. In winter there is full central heating and a log fire. Home comforts are plentiful: from the Kenwood Chef to Bluetooth speaker! Many guests comment that this is the best equipped holiday home they have experienced.

There are two double bedrooms and a cot and high chair are available on request. The main bedroom has its own small balcony. The second bedroom can be either twin or double as suits. The fifth bed would be put into the large living area on request.

Walkers will appreciate that you can set out on local paths right from the door. Walking suggestions are provided - from local lanes to the Tiber valley to hilltop views. Cyclists are welcome and there is a safe storage area for your bikes.

After a busy day sightseeing, come back to your terrace and light up the cheminée barbecue to watch the sun set. If you need to connect with the outside world, naturally wifi is included!

It is easy and cheap to get to Rome by train.
